Hongyu Qian joined BeiGene in May 2017 and is the Vice President, Medical Affairs, Great China. Prior to joining BeiGene, she worked in Novartis Oncology China, as the Head of Medical Affairs for 6 years and Country Head of Clinical Operation for 5 years, respectively. Mrs. Qian also worked at Novo Nordisk China and Quintiles China in roles of expending responsibility.

Mrs. Qian graduated from Capital Medical University with a B.S. in clinical medicine, and received an MBA from Peking University. Before joined the pharmaceutical industry, she worked for five years as a hospital physician, focusing on nephrology.
